Come and Work With Us: Fundraiser Role Advertisement

The Multi-Story Orchestra is looking for a new Fundraiser to manage their individual giving scheme, run fundraising events, manage their Trust and Foundation fundraising and write grant bids. We are looking for someone with previous fundraising experience in the arts, who has excellent written and oral communication skills, digital marketing skills, who is personable and creative and who is passionate about widening access to the arts.

Contract: Part time, 3 days a week. 12 months with possibility to extend

Ideal start date: October 2018

Salary: £24,000-£26,000 pro rata

Location:  Home based. Multi-Story does not have an office. Need to be regularly available in London.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Individual giving

·       Marketing the Multi-Story Membership Scheme through digital marketing, social media, regular newsletters, designing printed materials, and being present at all Multi-Story events

·       Managing the Multi-Story Membership Scheme: processing memberships, administering rewards and being main point of contact for all Members

·       Managing communication with all donors including thank you letters, renewals, and regular Members only newsletters with behind the scenes content

·       Managing and delivering crowdfunding / bespoke individual giving campaigns

·       Submitting Gift Aid claims, tracking and recording all donations, and ensuring that acknowledgements and credits are included in all marketing and communications

Fundraising events

·       Running small cultivation events for donors and potential donors (frequent attendees and potential givers) after every performance, creating and managing guests lists and invitations, booking catering as required

·       Running 3 small house concerts and 1 gala event a year. Liaising with venues/hosts, organising catering, acting as event manager

Trusts and Foundations

·       Managing the Multi-Story Trusts & Foundations database, including keeping up to date records, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on all grants and ensuring that all copy and crediting of grant funding is accurate

·       Writing small trusts and foundation applications (working closely with Artistic Director Kate Whitley)

·       Supporting Kate Whitley on major grant applications

Corporates:

  • We are exploring this area and may include corporate activity within the role depending on individual expertise
